pilot: Zsuzsanna Lórántffy, a 17th-century Transylvanian princess, wants to mold her son into a humble ruler, but the rebellious teenager is more interested in partying and, driven by ambition, wants to conquer foreign lands.
Meanwhile, Zsuzsanna runs a girls’ school, commissions the construction of colleges and churches, cultivates a medicinal herb and fruit garden, learns to write, and eventually even publishes her work, defying the expectations and disdain of a male-dominated society.
Will her master plan—the marriage of Zsófia Báthory—succeed in taming Zsuzsanna’s heir to the throne? And wouldn't this attract the Habsburg Empire, which wants to conquer Transylvania?
